As Geekistry picks up speed we’ve decided to set a schedule for our live-streamed podcast recordings. The schedule might be revised in the future (we’ll work on any kinks we come across and adjust accordingly,) but for now we’d like to invite you to join us on USTREAM three times a week: Sunday and Tuesday evenings at 10 pm Eastern, and Thursdays at 9 pm Eastern. Growing up watching Star Trek was an amazing experience as a kid. There was so much technology in the show that hadn’t been invented yet, and so you thought you’d never see any of it in your lifetime. As it turns out, the writers and artists on the show were ahead of their time, but nobody realized that technology would catch up faster than expected.
A few months ago I ran an experiment which was to get 100 followers on Twitter without writing a single tweet. It was a simple experiment which I have to say, was more of a success than I thought. People talk about “engaging” and “conversation” on Twitter, but the fact is, you can do a lot more with essentially nothing.
