Writing proper continuity has to be tough when your main concern is telling a good story. Star Wars has to be one of the more popular stories ever made, but even the most popular stories can have flaws.

I’ve watched a lot of television, good and bad. Except for perhaps the MASH finale, I can’t remember a time when so many people were glued to their televisions for a series finale. Lost was definitely worth the trip.
There was never a phenomenon like Star Wars. Argue what you will about other movies that have come out in recent years, but Star Wars will hold the title of the movie with the biggest cultural impact of all time.
For some of you, today is Star Wars Day: May the Fourth (be with you). Personally, Star Wars Day for me has always been May 25 since it’s the day it was released back in 1977. Growing up watching Star Trek was an amazing experience as a kid. There was so much technology in the show that hadn’t been invented yet, and so you thought you’d never see any of it in your lifetime. As it turns out, the writers and artists on the show were ahead of their time, but nobody realized that technology would catch up faster than expected.
