I’ve watched a lot of television, good and bad. Except for perhaps the MASH finale, I can’t remember a time when so many people were glued to their televisions for a series finale. Lost was definitely worth the trip.

Google pushes HTML5, WebM at Google I/O conference

In recent months, there’s been a lot of discussion about Flash, Silverlight, and HTML5. One large cry has been for open standards, and now Google is saying that they’re going to push support for HTML5. They say that “open standards breeds innovation”, and I believe that’s true. By not stifling development, developers are free to create the content and tools they need. By supporting HTML, Google via Chrome, will free both users and developers of proprietary (and IMO, redundant) extensions such as Flash and Silverlight.
