Apple today is releasing its latest operating system for the iPhone, named iOS 4. While it’s meant to run on all iPhones that are available, not all iPhones will have all the features of iOS 4. Safari 5 is out for Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6

We knew it was coming, but it was left off Steve’s keynote. Safari 5 has just been released and it has the following major upgrades: Safari Reader which allows you to read web articles in an uncluttered window, extension support, Bing search has been added, better performance, and improved HTML 5 support.

Apple unveils new MobileMe beta

Despite how everyone’s moving to Google’s free Gmail system, I still love MobileMe. For one thing, I think the interface is much more intuitive and less cluttered than Gmail, and it uses real folders. That, and all the other things you can get with MobileMe made it well worth the $100/yr. for me. However, there were some things about MobilMe’s mail system that annoyed me to the point where I couldn’t use it for anything more than just a simple email system since all the work I needed to do had to be done on my home Mac.

Apple’s iPhone OS 4 previewed

Today, Apple announced iPhone OS 4. This OS covers the iPhone versions 1 (Edge), 3G, and 3GS, iPod Touch, and iPad. They’ve made some changes which are long overdue and look like they’ll be a hit with current users. Not all features will be available on all devices.
