How to get an Aero Glass Command Prompt in Windows Vista/7
A few years ago, I was very heavy into the Windows XP GUI mod community. There was one thing I always wanted to do and that’s create a translucent Command Prompt like you can do in Mac OS X. The problem was that there was no perfect way to do it. The one mod that did allow you to was very limited in what it was capable of doing. I even tried writing one myself which I could never get working properly.
Now with Aero Glass for Windows Vista and 7, you can put a Glass look on your Command Prompt. Komalo on DeviantArt put together an executable which places Aero Glass on your Command Prompt when you run it. There’s even source code available to see how he did it.
This is great for people like me that need to get down into the command line of Windows, but don’t like the cold look of the black background.
